St. Luke's HealthNow Episode Centers on Medical Education Programs

The latest episode discusses specific programs, training, and expertise offered by St. Luke’s University Health Network.

The next episode of St. Luke’s HealthNow will air on Monday, July 18, 2022, at 6:30 PM on WFMZ, Channel 69. The episode deeply explores the medical education programs provided at St. Luke’s University Health Network, which was recently named the number one teaching hospital in the country by Watson Health. The program discusses the health network’s nursing and physician programs in addition to other opportunities such as the school of phlebotomy and surgical tech school. Additionally, with a panel of experts from the field, the segment touches on specific full-time programs, training, tuition, scholarship and assistance opportunities, and the growth and commitment of St. Luke’s to better educate its students. The panel of experts includes:

  • James P. Orlando, EdD, chief graduate medical education officer

  • Shaden Eldakar-Hein, MD, MS, senior associate dean, Temple/St. Luke’s School of Medicine

  • Lisa Storck, DNP, RN, program director, St. Luke’s School of Nursing

“What’s unique about St. Luke’s University Health Network is the community-based care that we’re providing. It’s really nice for the students because they’re on a smaller campus and they’re treating the community they live in, which I’ve always really appreciated,” reflects Dr. Eldakar-Hein.
