The next episode of St. Luke’s HealthNow will air on Monday, May 27, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. on WFMZ, Channel 69. This episode explores topics related to hands, wrists, shoulders, and elbows, including common conditions, the impact of surgery on those conditions, and advancements made in techniques and technology at St. Luke’s University Health Network (SLUHN).  

The episode features a panel of experts in orthopedic care from SLUHN:

• Hithem Rahmi, DO, orthopedic surgery specializing in shoulder and elbow

• Jeremy Raducha, MD, orthopedic surgery specializing in hand and upper extremity

• Maura Stout, PT, DPT, certified hand therapist specializing in the upper extremity 

“Minimally invasive procedures in our field typically involve arthroscopic procedures, which require small stab incisions around the joint instead of a big open procedure,” said Dr. Rahmi. “This is very useful because you can see around the crevices and the pathology that could be causing the patient’s symptoms since what you see with the scope is advanced and more magnified.”
