St. Luke's HealthNow Touches the Heart

The latest episode will discuss technological advancements in cardiac care with St. Luke’s University Health Network specialists.  

The 30th episode of St. Luke’s HealthNow is coming soon. On Monday, November 29, Cardiac Care Technology Update will explore the basics of heart disease, shed light on symptoms, and technological treatment options with a panel of medical experts from the field of cardiology. The episode will air at 6:30 PM on WFMZ, Channel 69.

Cardiac Care Technology Update features St. Luke’s specialists, Stephen Olenchock, DO, Chief of Cardiovascular Surgery, Steven Stevens, MD, Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology Practice, and David Allen, DO, Medical Director of Heart Failure Program. Hosted by Ashley Russo, president and executive producer of ASR Media Productions, St. Luke’s HealthNow is a co-production of ASR Media Productions and St. Luke's University Health Network. 

“There is usually apprehension when patients learn they need cardiac intervention, and we take the extra time to educate them and describe what is going on, including showing them their films or echoes,” said Allen. “We let patients know that we are working with surgical colleges as part of a full team and have an integrative approach.”
