ASR Media Production Internship
By becoming an ASR Media Production Intern, you will have a meaningful, hands-on experience that will allow you to explore the world of television and video production. ASR Media Production interns learn under the supervision of award-winning industry professionals, while working directly on vital projects that leave an impact on the Greater Lehigh Valley community.
Internships are offered during the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Assist the production and editing of weekly programs, which may include:
Assist with interview and studio setup and breakdown
Operate camera & audio equipment during interviews
Transcribe interviews
Learn how to capture meaningful b-roll
Run the teleprompter
Edit short packages for television, corporate, and/or non-profit videos
Research topics & information as needed
Opportunities to learn about pre-production, marketing, and how to run a business
Opportunities to attend community networking events with team members
Other responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements:
Camera operation & editing experience necessary
Current college/university seniors and juniors preferred; sophomores may apply
Cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to stay organized, meet deadlines and handle multiple projects
Willingness to learn new skills and accept constructive criticism to improve on current skill set
Self-motivation and a passion for television production
Additional Information:
Due to the nature of video production, multiple half or full days per week dedicated to an internship are preferred. Disjointed hours may not provide the best experience.
